Dachshund

The short legs, long body, and large ears of the Dachshund make it an easily recognizable breed. However don’t be fooled by its small appearance, this hotdog-like pooch is actually an athletic hunting dog. Dachshund actually means “badger hunter,” in German since this was the job it was originally created for.

Papillon

The Papillon is a small dog with big ears and long hair. It is a toy breed with a fine and silky coat that requires combing and brushing several times a week to keep it from becoming matted. While it is fond of children, it’s also quite fragile so it shouldn’t be kept in homes with very young kids since they most likely will be too rough when it comes to handling and playing with pets.
